$15.00

Here We'll Stand.  The War of 1812: The Struggle that Forged Two Nations
New CD featuring songs giving the perspectives of the British, American, Canadian and Native American/First Nations, and the lasting impacts. Featuring the Dockwallopers vocals on all four verses of The Star Spangled Banner, and songs from Sea and Land, from the Chesapeake Bay to Lake Erie, and points between.

Choose your cover art (or if none is selected, we'll choose one and send to you). We could not settle on just one cover, so here are your choices, and why we like them: Pictured Clockwise from top left: Farewell to the Fallen (after Battle of Lake Erie); The Friends Goodwill at Mackinac (showing the Friends Goodwill just before being captured by the British, who re-christened her Little Belt); Prelude to Battle  (with the Brig Niagara leading a parade of sail up Lake Erie). Sunset at Amherstburg Navy Yard  (we selected this for the Canadian port, and depiction of Native American support of the British in this war). Cover art by Peter Rindlisbacher.

One CD, with four different covers! Choose your favorite cover art:

$15.00

Occasionally, we make available limited number of copies of Lee Murdock's first three recordings. Add to your shopping cart, and then select from these four titles.

The Grand Departure was released in 1980, a solo recording, just Lee's voice and guitar. Includes instrumental work, blues, covers of Stan Rogers The Jeannie C and more.

Where the Pinery Narrows, 1984, is the only recording with Lee's first historical song, a Civil War era ballad, The Ghost in Blue. It also features Scott Joplin's The Maple Leaf Rag and The Farmer is the Man.

Wayfaring Stranger, 1987, is an instrumental guitar lover's paradise. Irish Carolan tunes, ragtime, classical, some classic folk & blues standards, and searing 12-string guitar on the title cut. (But this is not an all-instrumental album, this also includes Persia's Crew, Gettin in the Cows(from the original Folk Songs of the Great Lakes Region tape-only) and After You've Gone.

Fertile Ground First released in 1989, this popular CD contained the first recording of Lee Murdock's well-known song about the "Rouse Simmons," the Christmas Ship. The Christmas Ship song is available on "Christmas Goes to Sea" and in a live performance on "Great Lakes Chronicle."
